This was a very central location to be based. Literally a few metres from a main area with lots of food and restaurant choices, 5-10 mins walk to the Geisha area, and about a 10 minutes walk to Kymiozu temple and a shopping street offering further food and restaurant choices as well as souvenirs. There were local buses available all along the street from the hotel and everywhere was easily accessed. The hotel itself was clean and beds were very comfortable. Would recommend it as an ideal location to be based for a visit to Kyoto.

West Japan made a wonderful stay in Kyoto. If you’re staying long term, this is the place. The room itself came with all the amenities, including a full kitchen and the area was a 10 minute walk to Gion and other popular areas. The only con is I would say it is far from a train station, but most things were walkable or a taxi ride away.

The property was perfect for our stay in Kyoto! It’s ideally situated in the Gion neighborhood, close to shrines, shopping, good food, and transit. The room was large and very clean, and the staff was very friendly! We wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Right in the heart of Gion. Staff are very welcoming and accommodating. The room is very nice and beautiful looking, has English instructions for operating the ac, washing machine, etc. I really liked it overall.

A perfect spot to enjoy a week in Kyoto Near the Kiyomizu-dera ...on the main path that leads to the temples One block from bus stops and easy and fast to get a taxi I mostly walked , because Kyoto is very flat and has lovely pedestrian paths all over the city Great simple dining options nearby Having a full kitchen allowed me to eat in a lot A good family market was 2 blocks away The washer in the unit was great to get rid of my dirty clothes
