This hotel exuded a brand-new ambiance, and the staff was exceptionally polite and respectful. Its convenient location and excellent shuttle service added to its appeal. Beautiful quiet hotel in a great area. Loved that we could walk to Gion in 15 minutes. The shuttle to Kyoto station was a nice perk. The private Onsen was great as well.

The Hotel Higashiyama is an attractive and modern accommodation. It's is situated in a nice part of Kyoto within walking distance of many attractions and restaurants. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful!

Breakfast was awesome. The hotel has private spas you can rent by the hour and a foot bath in the garden. All the staff is super friendly. The hotel is outside of the crazy busy areas but is literally a 15 minute walk to the heart of Kyoto. I definitely recommend this hotel.

This is a very special hotel. It’s walking distance to Heian shrine. Lots of good hiking spots near by. The food selection is a little sparse, but there are some good spots near by. The room was very large and we got a view of a cherry tree from our room. Joshua from the staff was very nice and set us up for a great trip.
