This was the most inexpensive hotel of our trip and yet we loved it. Close to Kiyomizu temple and Gion district. They were very helpful and friendly. Gave us a free water bottle each, and a beautiful cookie at check out. Had all the amenities you needed, brush, razor, toothbrush, creams and face wash as well as extra pillows if you need. They have laundry on site as well as a rooftop terrace. Would definitely stay here again!!

The best part of this hotel is the staff. Very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed sitting in the front seating area that had tables, refreshments, and manga to read. It was a nice place to sit and have dinner when the rain kept us from walking around one evening. The hotel had plenty of common areas for you to enjoy in case you wanted to get away from your room. Location was great, a short walk up the hill to Kiyomizu-Dera, a kimono shop around the corner, and a dumpling restaurant right next door.

Charming small hotel super conveniently located near Kiyomizu Temple. The room was small but adequate, and we didn’t come to Kyoto to spend time in the room. The lobby foyer and upper deck were spacious and inviting in a cozy way. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, offering advice on where to eat and explore.

Location was everything for us, just a 5 minute walk to Ninezaka area filled with beautiful streets. Kiyomizu-dera and other temples/ shrines super close by. Only a 15 minute drive to train station and Nishiki Market. Was such a good spot to stay while getting out of Tokyo for a few days.
