Very clean room, friendly staff, and very close to Kyoto station which is also nice especially if you have a lot of luggage. It was very nice to stay in a traditional style room with a lot of amenities like an onsen.
The rooms were clean, the bath excellent, the food awesome. Not for multiple nights as it is a traditional on the floor living, but definitely something to try.
Conveniently located eight minute walk from the train station. Hotel is close to amenities and other transports to get you around Kyoto. Japanese style breakfast was very good and the stuff is very friendly. They also have a large communal bath, and you can also rent out a private bath.

The room was mostly spotless with some signs of wear on the closet and doors, otherwise spotless, beautiful private onsen (for an extra) and extremely courteous staff. A modern hotel and lobby with traditional Ryokan vibes inside the room with futon included
Fantastic stay at this Ryokan. Public bathhouse, only to hotel guests and both times I went I was alone, so it felt very private. Option to also have a private onset session.
The Japanese dinner was amazing and possibility to accommodate to a certain point if you are not a fish eater. They change your bedroom to the futon around 6.30pm and offer tea service in the afternoon and coffee in the morning in the lobby. Location is very good with only 5-10 minutes walk from the train station. Highly recommend to have the experience of traditional Japanese living.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's convenient to the train, subway and buses. The room was spacious for a family of four with separate enclosed areas for the toliet and shower/bath. The futon matresses were comfortable and relaxing. Sleeping with their robes was cool and soothing. Love their traditional breakfast and take away coffee. The staff was greeted us as exited and entered the premises. Will come back in the future.
A newly renovated hotel. A bargain given its location near the trainstation and its on site onsen. Highly recommend and would stay here when I visit Kyoto in the future.
Great location, excellent staff, very close to station, shops and restaurants. Would recommend a western bed rather than sleeping traditional style on the floor but that was totally our choice. Bath facilities downstairs are great and can book private couples baths. View was poor and aircons for building next door noisy through closed windows.
Room was spotless, amenities were wonderful. The rooms are big enough for large suitcases which we greatly appreciated! It is conveniently located just a few blocks from the main station. A bit further away from main turist attractions but transportation is pretty accesible.
Having a few extra pillows would've been nice as we were provided with just one small one, but we understand this was a traditional ryokan.
The onsen was also super nice and they have a tattoo friendly onsen.
