Great location, cleaning lady who is very old, but so pleasant and did great job! Front desk people can be more warm and welcoming, guess they may not speak too much English. That’s why, it’s ok.

Amazing experince, cannot recommend more.

This was an amazing experience we had in this hotel. Everything spotless, staff members very helpful and smiling all the time. Room spaciois, bed very comfortable, bathroom amazing. Location great, got off our shinkanzen train, the hotel is on the ground floor of the station (in Japan 1F); just follow Kintetsu line signs. Should we return back, this hotel will be our choice, cannot recommend more. All hotel rooms face the platforms, we were at the shinkansen platform and for me as a train enthusiast I could not wish for more. Although rooms are facing the platforms, you do not hear anything at all.

It was recommended I stay at this hotel due to its location in the Kyoto train station. While this may be convenient for others, I found it to be too stimulating & overwhelming to start and end my day. Additionally access to the hotel was confusing late at night although the staff did warn me it would be due to construction. Staff tried their best but language barrier was tough- I should have used google translate. I will say that the staff was very quick in responding to inquiries I made on Expedia and even left the hotel to try to find me when I was lost upon arrival. Room small yet comfortable, clean, tasteful & thoughtful decor with many amenities. Breakfast was vast but I think the price difference was $40 for breakfast so I wouldn’t choose it if that is the cost. Many thanks.

It was good because it was in the train station, making it very convenient to access transportation. The hotel room was quite nice as well, featuring double sinks, tables and chairs, and comfy and easily accessible beds. However, to make a future stay more pleasant, I would suggest to provide much more food options at the breakfast buffet and for the sinks to be outside the bathroom rather than inside to make it easy for guests to wash their hands if someone is in the shower. Overall, I think that Miyako City Kintetsu Kyoto Station is a nice place to stay if you will be going out to explore the area often.
