We stayed in Japan for two weeks, and this was by far the best hotel of our trip. The staff went above and beyond. They exceeded every expectation we had. From the warm welcome at check-in to the thoughtful tips about luggage transfers, every interaction felt genuine and caring. I wish we had caught the name of the staff member who checked us in. She was incredibly friendly, patient, and made us feel right at home. Another thoughtful touch was the complimentary bottled water available at the front desk upon request. This is something no other hotel we stayed at offered. On top of that, the front desk staff consistently greeted us with warm smiles every time we returned to the property. It truly reflected the best customer service we experienced in Japan. The onsen was another highlight of this property. It is tattoo-friendly, spotless, and serene. It was the perfect way to unwind after a long day of exploring. You can even check how busy it is right from your hotel TV. To top it all off, the hotel’s location couldn’t be better. It is just minutes from Kawaramachi Square where you're surrounded by endless shopping and dining options. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto.

Quite possibly the best location you can ask for. Close to everything yet on a fairly quiet street. We stayed here 9 nights! Totally recommend. Tons of shopping and dining options. Quiet and comfortable rooms.

Great location, great services, the rooms were slightly larger than the ones in Osaka and Tokyo. There were a bunch of shops and restaurants right around the block. If you don’t need quick access to the Kyoto station, I highly recommend staying here. Kyoto station was about 32 min walk or a 20m train ride.
