We loved the hotel, the location, the staff was very kind as well. We stayed in one of the amazing Pokémon rooms. This was our 2nd hotel of 3 on this trip so also very convenient with the washing machine in the room.

Very location with easy access to almost everything. My wife and I brought our two young kids for the visit to Kyoto. The kids loved the bunk bed a lot and play games in the room. The AC is cool and made the stay very enjoyable in the hot summer heat. We will definitely come back for our next visit to Kyoto

Didn’t plan it but our stay coincided with the Gion festival in mid July. Mimaru even offered free guided tours of one of the elaborate floats; what a unique experience! The location is in a quiet neighborhood but easy walking distance to all the shopping and restaurants. The unit is clean, bright, and enough room for our family of 4. A great stay for our first trip to Kyoto. Highly recommend!

We stayed in the Pokémon room and it was everything we could've dreamed of. Pokemon covered every surface and the washroom was all water pokemon themed. Even dishware was all pokeball themed. The special welcome gift was super cute and easy to share amongst 3 travellers. And of course - the giant snorlax plushy was the star of the room. The hotel itself was clean, perfectly located in a walkable yet quiet neighbourhood. We'd absolutely stay again.

We stayed in a Pokemon theme room. They thought of every detail. The kids LOVED it. The space was clean and a good size, with laundry in room. Also a short walk to several train stations and good food.
