Onsen area and public tea area was nice. We enjoyed the meals. Our room had a window but it looked at a small concrete courtyard. The location was good but about a mile walk to the main train station or an 8 minute walk to a closer train station.

I stayed there with my family. Whole facility was very clean and the traditional japanese room was very new. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The best perk was the large public bath with multiple indoor and outdoor hot tubs and a sauna. Location was in a quiet neighborhood, but still very central and only one stop from Kyoto Station. We travel a lot and this was one of the best stays we ever had. Can definitely recommend staying there and if we ever visit Kyoto again, we will stay there again.

Wonderful ryokan experience in Kyoto! We stayed as a family with our one teenager and really enjoyed the experience. The staff are superb. The meals were works of art. The bath experience was incredibly special. The entire facility is just lovely. So glad we included a night here during our visit to Kyoto!

The baths were the best part about this stay. Since you had to make reservations for breakfast by the time we checked in, the morning reservations for the next day were full. This did not seem like a traditional ryokan as the staff was not really present and helpful. The air conditioning did work. The location wasn’t great. If you’re going to stay at a ryokan, find one in a more secluded area. This was in the middle of a run down neighborhood. It was also kindof far from everything.

Such a fun stay. The room was cleaned each day of our stay and the amenities were so wonderful. Not a far walk from a train station and there were a handful of restaurants a short walk away. Staff was very quick and efficient with accommodations and requests and they thoroughly explained all the amenities they had to offer.
