Great hotel in a central, walkable spot in Kyoto - far enough away from main tourist and shopping areas but close enough to easily walk to. The hotel, room and public spaces were clean and immaculately maintained. Breakfast was great in a comfortable welcoming lounge. The staff were polite, helpful and friendly. Intergate was a blast. The amenities were extremely helpful to alleviate the intensity of walking 20k steps a day in Kyoto. They had complimentary drinks at 5 and then a simple rice bowl dinner at 8 free of charge. The onsen was incredible and the room was beautiful and clean.

Hotel Intergate Kyoto Shijo Shinmachi was our second hotel of our Japan trip. We were able to ship our luggage from our previous hotel in Osaka, and that was extremely convenient for us. The hotel is extremely clean, modern, and our room was perfect for two. All of the staff there were very nice and showed great hospitality. The nearest bus stop is only a 5 minute walk which made it super convenient to get around, and we were able to also explore the city and enjoy some great food, drinks, and even the Kyoto Pokemon Center!
