The hotel room was very spacious and comfortable, with a great location close to the train station—very convenient for getting around. The view from our room was a bit industrial, but that didn’t bother us too much. Breakfast was decent, though it was mostly the same both days with only minor variations. The public bath was amazing and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. Beds were very comfortable, and we appreciated the 1,000 yen credit to spend at the shops and restaurants downstairs. One downside was the TV setup—it didn’t support casting or mirroring, and there was no Netflix option. Overall, though, it was a pleasant stay and great value for the location and amenities.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Emion Kyoto! The hotel and facilities were beautiful. We enjoyed the panoramic rooftop during the day and night. Our hotel room was very spacious and the bathroom was perfect for taking baths after a long day of walking. Would definitely recommend! I cannot wait to come back.

This is one of my favorite hotels in Japan. The hotel is new and clean. We got the room with 4 twin beds and it was great for our family to have our own beds. The bathroom is also spacious. The onsen was great!! It has 3 tubs with different temperatures with lots of shower space. The locker room was big and has a few vanity areas. The laundry has 4 machines but we still had to wait for our turn but it was not too bad. The hotel has direct access to the train station which is nice. The lower floors has a few restaurants to choose from which is great! There’s also some activities you can do at the main floor and they also sell snacks. The hotel is right beside a 7-Eleven which was very convenient.

The hotel was very large and spotless. The restaurants on the second floor made dining super convenient, and above all, the sauna was absolutely amazing. And don’t miss having a beer on the rooftop terrace — it’s a must! I’ll definitely be coming back next time.

As far as what I didn’t like there is not much that I can think of other than clothes are hard to dry in high humidity. This was not the hotels issue . The property was super clean, staff was fantastic, and it was connected by a short bridge walkway to the train system. Super easy to navigate all over Kyoto. We received a 1000 yen voucher per person in our room which we used at the steakhouse on property. By far top 5 dinners I’ve had, ever…I would highly recommend Hotel Emion Kyoto to anyone thinking of traveling to Kyoto.

Clean rooms that looked quite new. Staff were lovely and there are many restaurants located within the building. The hotel is connected to a train station making for easy travel, with Kyoto Station being the next stop.
