Surrounded by forests, mountain views and the quiet presence of the lake, it is a place where you can truly slow down and settle into the rhythm of nature. The wider area is known for its strong four-season character, combining outdoor adventure with a sense of calm and privacy.

From the house, you are close to a range of experiences that make every stay feel complete. Enjoy access to hiking trails, lake activities, a golf course, a ski centre, a beach and practical local amenities, all within easy reach. Whether your ideal day begins with a quiet coffee overlooking the water or ends after hours spent outdoors, this location gives you the freedom to do both.

What makes this setting so special is its balance. It feels peaceful and private, yet never isolated. Nature is always close, but so is the comfort of nearby facilities. In every season, it offers a beautiful base for guests who value comfort, views and the feeling of being immersed in the landscape.


Lakelodge sits among the forests and mountains of Vrådal, built for a group of ten. Large windows keep the landscape close, while five double bedrooms and multiple bathrooms across two floors give everyone room to gather — and room to disappear when they'd rather not.


A private sauna, a jacuzzi on the terrace and a game lounge upstairs make it a comfortable base through every season, not only summer. 


Ground floor  
The 106 m² ground floor is the social heart of the lodge. The entrance hall has room for coats, shoes and outdoor clothing, with a separate toilet and a laundry room — washing machine, dryer, drying rack and vacuum cleaner — just off it. 


Two double bedrooms sit on this floor, each with a Smart TV and built-in storage; one opens directly onto the terrace. 


The main bathroom has a bathtub, shower, toilet and double washbasin, and connects straight through to the private sauna — the natural stop after a day of hiking, skiing or exploring. 

Lakelodge is also perfectly suited for smaller parties, as the ground floor alone offers accommodation for up to 4 people. The ground-floor bedrooms and spacious bathroom also ensure a comfortable stay for guests with limited mobility.


The open-plan living room, kitchen and dining area hold the whole group at once. Natural stone details and a wood-burning stove sit under a high ceiling and open mezzanine, while large windows open the room to the forest and the lake beyond.
The kitchen is fully equipped — induction hob, convection oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, Dolce Gusto and filter coffee machines, toaster, electric kettle — and the dining table seats all ten. 

First floor  
Upstairs, the 69 m² first floor holds three more double bedrooms, each with a Smart TV and built-in storage; two open onto the balcony. 


A lounge and game area up here — sofa, TV, Xbox and board games — gives children, teenagers or anyone else a second place to retreat to, away from the main living room. 


Two shower rooms (one with a double washbasin) and a separate toilet complete the floor, with stair gates fitted for younger guests. 

Outdoor area  
Covered terraces with lighting and outdoor furniture run along the lodge, with plenty of room to dine, relax or just watch the light change over the lake and mountains. 


One terrace holds the jacuzzi — heated, jetted, and covered for year-round use. The terraces are fully enclosed with railings and gated access, and — together with the stair gates fitted upstairs — this large outdoor space is safe for small children to play in.


Two two-person canoes are kept behind the lodge for guests to use, alongside an outdoor storage room for skis, bicycles and other equipment. An electric barbecue and a woodshed with firewood for the wood-burning stove round out the outdoor space. 


Electric vehicle charging: A charging facility for electric vehicles is available at the lodge, so you can plug in as soon as you arrive. 


Two nearly identical lodges  
Lakelodge is one of two nearly identical lodges, standing side by side. Both share the same layout, capacity and facilities, with only small differences in interior styling. 

Each lodge sleeps up to ten. For a group of twenty, both houses can be booked together through Twin Lakelodges 20p. 
 


Vrådal is a lakeside village in Kviteseid Municipality, Telemark, where Lake Nisser meets Lake Vråvatn. MS Fram – a piece of living history

* Built in 1909 as a tugboat hauling timber across the lakes.
* The M/S Fram worked until the 1970s before being carefully rebuilt as a passenger vessel in the 1980s.
* Today, it continues to sail each spring and summer with its original wooden charm and timeless character.
Dining in Vrådal
