The best place to stay to go to the historical Bikan - wonderful place to visit. Take into account to store your bags you need to rent a locker (¥500-¥1000). Breakfast is literally a sandwich in a box, coffee is ¥200.
Really small room but enough for short stays. Check out timing is at 10am but the room gets locked out even earlier. Staff will open it on request only.

The room is spacious and renovated.it’s near Mitsui outlets and stations and other sightseeing place.
Excellent location near historic quarter. Tricky check in as only hotel on trip that didn’t look after luggage before check in, and had to pay for lockers (£15 in our case). Also charged for ‘welcome drink’ coffee. Otherwise pleasant, clean room and hotel, so an extra star if they sorted the luggage storage situation.
Great location close to the Bikan Historical District and 10 mins walk from the train station.

Great location since it was walkable from kurashiki train station and just a block away from the Bikan district. Property was fine for a short stay just to sleep and shower, but lacked vibe. I hope they are not on the verge of closing. It seems they did a lot to cut down cost to run the place, and with minimal attendant - it was fine but a bit of a sad place. Maybe they can save more money by not offering the breakfast sandwich also. Suspect the breakfast may not suit some people’s taste and will get wasted. How about removing the 200 yen self service coffee and perhaps get a tenant to run a small eatery? I hope they can revive the place as location has so much potential.
The hotel room was very big and spacious! Close by to the historical bikan quarter! The only downside was that the bed was super hard. Felt like sleeping on a brick. The staff was very kind.
Nice place, good location, helpful staff, very weird breakfast (de-facto the thing called "breakfast" was a pack of some dishes collected and placed in a paper bag. It was small, and I doubt if eatable at all - tested some of them and the test bite was actually the only bite I did)

Our room was quiet and clean. Good location to sites, shopping and transport . Good value for your money.
Be careful as theres a big step up into the bathroom.
Unfortunately you could hear the loud noise from the crossing nearby until fairly late at night. We could also hear someone’s TV in the night.
Check in was very quick and easy, polite staff and a generally very clean and pleasant premises. The room was pretty spacious and very clean too.
Incredibly affordable and a short walk to Kurashiki Station and the beautiful historical district. Can't recommend it enough!
P.S. If you're in Kurashiki, make sure to check out Aichi shrine!
