Our overall feel is that the hotel is very old. We booked this due to it's close proximity to Zepp and the new Mitsui outlet Lalaport. They gave me a room with a lousy view. The toilet is leaking, the hairdryer was missing, no hand towels, the floor carpet has stains. But I was glad they provided room slippers. The buffet breakfast spread was quite meh. The only thing I like about the room is that it's quite spacious.

The online images of the hotel do not reflect its current condition. While the staff were genuinely welcoming and helpful, the overall state of the hotel and its facilities was outdated and poorly maintained. The room itself was disappointing, with uncomfortable beds, visible mould on the ceiling, and a poorly maintained bathroom. During my stay, a special function was being held at the hotel, which made moving around the property difficult. The lifts were extremely slow, and unfortunately, guests were not advised in advance about the event — information that would have influenced my decision to book. The buffet was also below expectation, with food that was neither of good quality nor representative of Malay culture. Overall, I did not find the stay to be good value for money and, regrettably, would not return.

Back to back bookings. Room 2509 was very good, spacious sitting area and Bedroom spacious. Bed comfortable. All quiet and clean. All staff very friendly and pleasant. Executive Lounge we used daily. Most staff were very friendly and polite. Food and drinks good. Just needs bit improvement in variety. Although no Bell Boys still staff helped us with Large Luggage.

Steer clear of Furama Bukit Bintang - bad hotel

I have stayed at this hotel on 3 occasions over the last 5 years. This time it was probably one of the worst experiences I have ever had in staying at a hotel. The front desk service is shocking. They are there to greet and help guests. They don’t. The room was dated. The shower was blocked and all the water just overflowed in to the whole of the bathroom. Disgusting. The sink was blocked. Disgusting, The two TV’s in the room didn’t work. Poor. There was no room service on one of the days. I asked the guy who was cleaning the room next door if he was going to be cleaning my room. He said he was. When I came back to the room a couple of hours later the room was not cleaned, so I asked the guy who was a few rooms away whether he was going to be cleaning the room. He said it was not on his list - if I wanted it cleaning I should go to reception to request it. I went to reception and the guy there (who needs some training in customer service) said that he would get in to it straight away and get it sorted for me. When I got back 3 hours later the room was not cleaned. I had to go down again to reception and the guy just completely blanked me. I asked to speak to the Duty Manager who didn’t seem a bit interested. I am in Kuala Lumpur for 18 nights and it was my intention to extend my stay after these first 4 nights. However, after the issues I’d had and the appalling customer service I booked elsewhere in the same area. I would strongly NOT recommend this hotel.

The hotel is conveniently located next to a mall called LaLaPort and is surrounded by a variety of shops and eateries.
