Excellent budget hotel close to tourist area.

We had 8am check in, stayed overnight and 6pm checkout to catch night train. We were charged for 1.5 days which was very reasonable.

I cancelled the booking upon arrival. My first question was how can Expedia register and sell such standard low hotel. Upon arrival , the small loby one table was so dirty, the lift is just like 6 sq ft , capable of one 2 persons. Rooms too dirty and the toilet so disgusting. This was my first visit in Kolkata , reached a 10 pm and had to look for a hotel all around , I was fed up , finally I the ''Panash Hotel'' on banerjee road , Rs 4000 per night which was satisfactory.

Room was very clean. Bedding was freshly washed and toilet disinfected. Hot water heater ("Geyser") worked well. Hot coffee was provided quickly upon ordering. Checkout was fast and efficient. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
