Nice character hotel - all clean and good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. A bit dated so walls thin and creaky floors with no blackout blinds, so not good for light sleepers. Nice to get hot drinks any time and fruit, cakes in the afternoon but can’t make a drink in your room….

The hotel is very conveniently located in the heart of town opposite the railway station. The area is quiet apart from a few party goers walking past. The building itself needs refurbishing, in particular the lobby, but the room and the bathroom was good. The staff and the breakfast was wonderful.

Working there, 60 plus years ago it's always sad to experience the different From being one of the premier hotels , restaurant and bakery in the country to what It had become.
