Villa Anabelle was a gem!
Villa Anabelle was a truly amazing property. It was even better than the pictures! Located just a 20 minute drive from the ferry port and Old Town Split, it's location made you feel like you were in a movie. The view of Klis Fortress from the backyard was absolutely breath taking. If you visit the fortress while at the top you can see Villa Anabelle from the fortress walls. The home and property is impeccably kept, safe and clean. Sitting having morning coffee in the outdoor kitchen in the mountains among olive trees was something we will never forget. Our kids loved the pool!
Upon arrival Marija was nothing short of amazing! We arrived by ferry in Split later in the evening. Marija arranged for a driver to pick us up at the ferry. This was great....but we strongly suggest that you rent a car before you make your way to the property for ease and convenience. Once we got to the house we were greeted by Marija and her adorable baby daughter Anabelle, as well as a thoughtful welcome basket full of wine, bread, prosciutto, cheese and many other necessities to get us through the evening and morning until we could go to the grocery store. There are two markets(Toni Market) close to the house, one within a 5-10 minute walk the other a 10 minute drive.
The house is located in the mountains with nothing short of spectacular views! Be prepared to be amazed, but also be prepared to walk the elevation change. A rental car is a must and makes going on day trips and into Old Town Split very convenient. There are many places to park once you make your way toward Old Town both free and paid parking.
The 3 large bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with beautiful showers made us feel right at home. Wifi was amazing! An abundance of towels, dishes, pots and pans. Washing machine was a huge plus! Loved the experience and smell of hanging clean laundry out to dry in the yard.

Our visit to Villa Anabelle will be one that we will remember for many years to come!
