Relax in this welcoming home less than a mile from the beach and nestled in the woods. Lofted ceilings and natural light make this 3 bdrm/3 bath house an inviting getaway. The large deck off the living area and master bdrm is perfect for stargazing while listening to the waves crash on the shore a few blocks away. Inside you will find original art and custom made furniture. Close to the town of Duck yet not far from the southern beaches, there is a reason Southern Shores is a prime location.

The location was great and the host was responsive, which we appreciated. However, we did have an unexpected experience with the local wildlife—inside the property. A few cockroaches decided to join our stay, which wasn’t exactly on our itinerary. While we understand nature exists, we prefer it outside rather than in the kitchen and bathroom. Hopefully, future guests can enjoy this place without the extra roommates.

We truly appreciate this home and how close it was to the beach with the included parking pass for in town! Our stay was short and it was not what we had planned with everyday being a double red flag on the beach. However, the host had so many fun board and card games that filled our day with redeemable family memories, laughter and a good time for our 4 children! The home was well stocked and it was super helpful having a bathroom for each room! The home was clean and orderly and we had a great time walking the neighborhood (even meeting some of the neighbors!). This is a great home for families and if you dont mind a short drive to the beach! It was a great price and our kids loved getting to see all the deer literally feet away from them in the early morning!

We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and the short walk to the beach. We were thankful for the parking permit on the day we drove to the beach. Also, it was nice having three batbrooms.

Nice home plenty of space

Nice house super clean plenty of room inside. Neighborhood was very quiet and located close to the beaches. Host did a fantastic job with communication and responded immediately to any questions we had. Highly recommended

Cute and comfy retreat

Very clean and comfortable plus cool art/furnishings. Quiet neighborhood. A couple blocks from the beach near a safe place to cross Duck Rd. Everything worked well for cooking a few meals. Would stay here again.
