The place is an amazing oasis... so quiet, beautiful scenery and great hosts. I couldnt wait to scramble outside to see the northern lights each night. Amazing place.

The price is easily worth double, if not triple, what you pay. The owners are fantastic: warm, engaged, incredibly friendly, and always happy to help. They also offer a shared dinner every evening, which is a wonderful experience with all the guests, along with various activities that make your stay even more special. One of the highlights is their traditional Finnish kotta, a small hut with a fireplace in the center. It’s incredibly cozy. One evening, they organized an event there where we cooked food together, had an amazing time, and even saw the Northern Lights. Another night, we witnessed the most spectacular Northern Lights imaginable: the entire sky glowing bright green, with rays dancing across the sky and shifting from green to purple. Absolutely unforgettable. The location is perfect, slightly outside the city and right by a lake, which creates ideal conditions for seeing the Northern Lights. Honestly, there’s no need to book an expensive Northern Lights tour. Just stay here, and on clear nights, you’re almost guaranteed to see them. Highly recommended. It will be a highlight of your trip!

This property is advertised as a boutique hotel, but in reality it operates more like a bed and breakfast. In fact, there is a sign above the entrance that clearly reads “B&B,” not hotel, which was our first indication that the listing may not accurately reflect the property. When we arrived, there was no front desk or formal check-in area. The first thing we encountered upon entering was an open kitchen, and unfortunately the smell of food traveled upstairs to our room, which was located on the floor above. The room itself was extremely small, not large enough to accommodate our luggage. It was essentially a bed with two small night tables squeezed into the space. The biggest issue, however, was the bathroom situation. Our room did not have a private bathroom. The bathroom was shared. On the app, under room amenities, it clearly lists “Bathroom,” which reasonably led us to believe the room included a private bathroom. After discovering the shared arrangement, we went back to the listing to see if we had missed something, but we could not find this clearly disclosed. Because of this, we ultimately decided to leave the property. We requested at least a partial refund, given that the listing felt misleading, but unfortunately the property did not honor even a partial refund. Travelers should be aware that this property functions much more like a B&B with shared facilities, rather than the boutique hotel experience suggested in the listing.

Der Aufenthalt fühlte sich an wie ein Besuch bei Freunden herzlich, persönlich und rundum angenehm. Man ist sofort angekommen und fühlt sich bestens aufgehoben. Die Zimmer sind individuell gestaltet und sehr sauber. Das Essen wird mit viel Liebe zubereitet, alles ist frisch und hausgemacht. Besonders hervorzuheben ist Kerstin, die mit ihren wertvollen Tipps und ihrer hervorragenden Vernetzung den Aufenthalt noch einmal deutlich bereichert hat. Insgesamt hat das die Reise perfekt abgerundet.
