Excellent stay here - staff were brilliant with their communication, telling us exactly how to check-in late. Comfortable room, and opened breakfast early for us (7:20am) as we had to leave for a trip. Incredibly accommodating and welcoming place.

Stayed at this hotel while visiting southern Iceland. The room was okay for what I needed but I was very disappointed in the breakfast. I expected more for the price.

The rooms were nice, our room was a bit hot no matter how we adjusted the furnace. There was a beautiful canyon trail only a mile from the property.

Everything was perfect! Very quaint and comfortable and the location was perfect to be able to visit the canyon. We even arrived late and they were very understanding and accommodating with our check-in. The breakfast was wonderful with homemade bread and the restaurant is super cute.

The property is in a stunning location, surrounded by trees and rivers, offering a peaceful escape close to nature. Rooms are comfortable , with a kettle and washbasin, while bathrooms are shared among two bedrooms.Breakfast is included ( very basic - cereals , breads and fruits ) and served in the common restaurant, and dinner is available at extra cost, though vegetarian options are limited ( only 1 ). Staff could be more welcoming—we were reminded about breakfast timing in a rather curt way. Also, having a small common area with a fridge or microwave would be a great addition, considering the remote location. Overall, the location is unbeatable (10/10), but service and amenities could be improved.

Guesthouse was clearly old but maintained. Ordered two single bed rooms and got a double room. Heat wasn’t working at the time (manager told us that they checked it and it was working). Rooms are very small and hot water runs out quickly. Breakfast was meager, some bread, fruits, veggies, and cereal. A bit overpriced in my opinion.

Friendly staff which seems to be a common trait for Iceland. Cabin was small but extremely clean and bright and comfortable. Same for the bathroom. Included breakfast was served in a very pretty small sunroom type restaurant. The breakfast was of high quality although it didn’t have as many choices as we saw other places. I don’t think there was any hot entree. Overall we were happy with our stay.

A lot of potential but lacking when we were there

Room was very basic and a bit tired. The shower tray did not drain sufficiently quickly so there was a risk that it flooded. I reported it on leaving so hopefully it will be fixed for the next guests. We ate dinner at the restaurant one night and it was very good indeed. It was such a shock how bad the breakfast was. (I don't really understand how a lot of people said that it was great). It doesn't take much effort to put butter or other spreads in a bowl or dish but they were served straight from the packet or jar. Surprised that there were no eggs (not even boiled eggs which would have been simple to prepare). And a limit of just one type of cheese and meat.
