Convenient location, just near golden circle road #1, good breakfast (for additional payment of 20 euros per person). The 2 bedroom house is nice but rooms are very small, one with double bed while another with 2 single beds, looks very old and less maintained, no soundproofing at all, no door can be properly closed.

The cabin was very spacious and relaxing. We loved having a kitchen and space to rest after long days of exploring the south coast. The “Klauster” had a few restaurants (less than 10 mins away) & attractions we enjoyed (Vik & National park) we’re around an hour or less away.

The property needs a major update in the bathroom. Very outdated and the shower smelled like urine. The bed looked pretty new.

Accomodation was good in general but a little smaller than we had imagined. Also we were two couples and thought we had booked a 2 double bedroom cottage but we had two rooms with bunk beds and one bedroom with two single beds and literally no luggage storage space in the rooms. We had to use the lounge area and one of the bedrooms as our storage space. The location was ideal for visiting Eastern Iceland, staff were friendly, and views were good from the cottages.

Clean, cute cottage. Plenty of space to sleep. We got lucky and saw amazing northern lights in late April. No oven, but the hot plate worked fine.

Really lovely stay at Horgsland Cottages. Incredible location and very easy to find. Place was very cosy. In the top room, we weren't able to adjust the heating and so it was abit too hot for us at night, but the other rooms had indiviual temperature dials. Nice convenience store in reception where you could buy coffee for the machine, drinks and snacks.

We rented the Hörgsland cottage. It’s new and large but poorly designed and not well thought out. The top bunk of the bunk beds are too high with no room to sit up. The heating/AC unit in our cottage was not working - at first the fan was loud and there was no heat, then it started dripping water and chunks of ice fell out. The staff were helpful and you could tell they had experienced issues before. The shower curtain smelled of mildew and the soap was terrible. It was the most expensive accommodation we had in Iceland and the worst. Not worth the money.
