The hotel staff really makes this place stand out. It has been my favorite stay in Iceland so far and this is our 2nd trip, 3rd week. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The kitchen made us an order with 10 minutes until closing (we were late getting in) and the food was delicious. I I highly recommend this hotel because of the people.

The bungalows are really small, got a room for 2 adults and 2 kids which had a bed and sofa bed, the sofa bed wasn’t big enough to fit in 2 people. The space was very tight and it wasn’t well maintained. The room was clean and breakfast was decent. The staff was friendly, but the price didn’t justified what you get.

I really wanted to like this place and I enjoyed the historic location of the property (though I wanted to find the bunker of ash layers and couldn't). The bungalow was very small for 4 people and it needs some updating, especially for the price --attention to the bathroom and kitchen areas. We very much appreciated being able to have the hotel breakfast which was fantastic. The staff there especially Jose, is engaging and friendly. Bread was a standout.

We got upgraded to a nice room at Hotel Laki as the bungalows were closed after summer. The hotel was very swanky, the food options were delicious, the staff were very helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Wifi did not reach the bungalow. Bathroom door handles were not screwed together, allowing knobs on both sides to fall out. Twin beds shoved together. Some $ should be put into refurbishment. The restaurant was great for dinner. The breakfast was average. The overnight laundry service was a well spent $20.
