Room and staff were lovely! Location is right in the center of town and has an amazing restaurant. Beware, bring earplugs as the walls are paper thin. Would definitely stay again, but with the noise in mind.
Excellent breakfast choices and so tasty. The staff were very friendly and attentive in all departments.A bit noisy from outside but that was to be expected when people are enjoying themselves. All in all I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The hotel room was a bit musty and the bed was too soft.

Kind of old and tired property. Great location. Very noisy
My second visit to Kinsale and Blue Haven. Hotel is aging and could use a facelift. The adjoining restaurant and lounge is terrific however as is the hospitality therein.
The folks at reception on the other hand are less than hospitable.
The hotel is in the middle of Kinsale and so is a good spot to be able to explore the town. The downside is the availability of parking. We were able to park in a free public lot up a hill and just past a grocery store and firehouse, ( if you go you can find it on a google map ) and the walk was only 5-10 minutes at most and not a problem for most people. I'd do it again if in Kinsale.
The Blue Haven is right in the heart of Kinsale and within walking distance to many pubs and restaurants. Room was clean and well appointed. Good water pressure in the shower. The one downside was being right on the street as it was very noisy until late at night. We ate there for breakfast and it was excellent. We also had dinner one night which was phenomenal. The other downside is parking as you’ll have to first find a spot in either the car park down the street or one of the few spots on the street and pay if you arrive before 6pm or leave your car after 10:30am.
I thought this property would be gorgeous from the photos and reviews online. It was extremely disappointing and our room was very very old, dirty, and dated. Everything in our room was “yellowish”, dusty, and the carpet stained and musty smelling. This spot could be beautiful but they need to upgrade. It looks like some rooms have been updated, but some like ours were stuck in the 80’s. Just a truly disappointing stay. Only positive it is in town.

Déçu par rapport aux standing annoncés.Petite chambre, salle de bains petite, les bruits extérieurs sont très présent, accès compliqué et grandes difficultés pour se garer
We recently stayed at the lovely Blue Haven where we had a HUGE and charming room. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was fantastic…great soaking tub and toiletries. The staff could not have been nicer. The location could not have been better. Be sure not to miss the wonderful Bulman Pub in the next village on top of the hill.
Fairytale boutique in a fairytale village - cute!!
OMG!! This boutique hotel is the quaintest, most darling place I've ever stayed. The staff is awesome, the room was great, the bar and restaurants were super!!! And the musical entertainment is so relaxing! The only downside is there is no parking onsite. But once you make it to this gorgeous little village, you will understand why and won't even have a second thought about it. But to be clear, the nearest parking is a five minute walk up a small hill. This does give you an opportunity to check out some cute little shops though. And pick up any needed supplies at the market.
Nice hotel all round. But if you don't want to be up at 6am stay away from here
As the hotel is on the Main Street trucks are unloading to the 2 supermarkets from early
Making it impossible to sleep. Maybe new Windows could be an idea for this hotel
I had to come home for a rest !!
Loved the charm of the hotel. Very nice rooms for a good value. The restaurant had delicious food. Didn't sleep too well due to loud noises outside, but it was worth it for the location.
On checking-in we were not happy with our room aspect and reception very kindly changed it.
Plesant staff. Continantal breakfast was good, nice coffee, full breakfast was on offer at an extra charge.
We got an excellent deal and
Would stay there again & would also highly recommend the hotel.
Hotel was central to Kinsale. Great being able to walk everywhere from there in this gorgeous village. Breakfast included in room price was very good value. Would definitely stay there again if back in the region.
central location excellent with convenient parking.hotel decore very tasteful throughout.staff frien dly and helpful and breakfast was amazing!could reccommend blue haven kinsale highly to everyone.will definately be back.brian&marian
Not great for what we paid but that's Kinsale for you really, extortionate pricing cashing in on American $$$$. Had to wait 15 mins at the front door to be let in initially. TV was the size of my computer monitor (15" approx) with only 3 channels tuned in and one channel half tuned in (this was the channel my wife wanted to watch while we were getting ready to go out incidentally). View was nice with 2 windows overlooking the harbour (room 17). No pressure on the shower head which was part of a bath and no one at reception to check us out in the morning (11.45am - we waited and rang the bell!). All in all very disappointing and my hopes were reasonably high as the Blue Haven has a good reputation in Kinsale and we previously dined there. Will not ever visit again or recommend to anyone.
