Property is very nice. I’m certainly glad they had an indoor pool and hot tub because the weather was not the best for our stay. We were there a week and we had three days of sun. The room is nice. We had a junior suite. The only complaint is the couch is not very comfortable. I know this happens when they have fold out beds in them. I just put a blanket down to give me more cushion. Amenities are nice and everything was else great. We did have a third floor oceanview room, but it was so windy. It was even hard to sit out there, but again not the hotel’s fault.! Considering everything we really enjoyed our stay!

We stayed on the third floor of the tower and had a perfect view of the ocean and sunrise. The balcony shielded the wind somewhat. The location of Shutters is perfect for walking or short drives to restaurants. We could see the Kitty Hawk memorial from the parking lot side of the property.

Decent breakfast was provided. Staff looked miserable any and every time we seen or spoke. Towels and wash clothes smelled like ash trays. Literally. The first night in the room , we got in the shower the shower pressure was terrible. The shampoo bottle adhesive had come off the shower wall so the bottle was kust hanging. For the money we paid - i wouldnt stay here again. Also - dust. I sneezed the entire time, every day and night that we were in our room.

Check in was easy. Only problem was the toilet was acting up off and on. Morning we left the toilet would not flush at all. We also did not have the room serviced (cleaned and restocked) so we were out of coffee. We did get some in the breakfast area. It was probably our fault as we put the do not disturb sign on the door when we took a nap but removed it later. Also the phone in our room was not working otherwise I would have called the front desk. Not a big problem as we all use our cell phones anyway!

Like, closeness to the beach, Not like, Bathroom was old and in need of upgrade (rust showing in bath tube etc… Dune view was a hill behind the room. Back patio was unusable do to the loud air conditioners above and on our patio. No closet to hand clothes. Breakfast was underwhelming.
