Friendly staff checked me in at 8 pm. Older motel but I expected that. Room was as described. Bathroom not clean. It had black hair on the sink, in the sink, on the floor, and all over the tub. The tub was peeling on the inside of it where it was painted. Grab bar on one side was loose. Toilet seat did not fit the toilet. I did not report anything to the staff. I brought clorox clean up with me and just handles the cleaning. The furnace/air conditioner is loud. You can hear other people's televisions and when things were dropped. You can't see the tv while laying in bed. It's too low. Breakfast was basic. Cereal, eggs with cheese, biscuits, little pancakes, watered down OJ, and coffee. Coffee fixing are sparse. No doubt that all warm food was microwave food. It was bland. For off season it was ok. I knew what I was renting. I would never stay here in season due to hearing the neighbors. If you are a sound sleeper you will be just fine.

I've stayed here before, and I realize that it is one of the older style "mom & pop" motels - which I prefer. And I realize that these types of motels do show some age regardless of circumstance. But it seemed like the place was a little 'down' this year (compared to last year). Maybe it has new owners (??). I hope the owners continue to do what is necessary to keep the place up.

Overall this place is great, maintenance was going on on the outside of building. Door jams need work. Doors didn’t close good. But loved the no key or card key entry. (Touch pad code). And quiet and peaceful.

It did the job. We had a place to lay our heads. Close to the ocean. It was off season and the week before outer banks had terrible weather with high winds,saying that the place and the sand dunes that separated the inn from the shoreline shared the sand more than usual.

The walls are so thin it’s like you’re staying with the guest next to you. Dresser was falling apart, everything is in desperate need of an update and if you get back late good luck finding a parking spot.
