The Club House was centrally located and walkable to any destination in the Medevil section of the city. The staff was professional, polite and personable. The breakfast was plentiful, with a continental buffet as well as your choice of cooked breakfast items.

This hotel is so cute and quirky. The halls can be a little confusing, but I think that added to the charm. Very comfortable bed, nice bathroom, friendly staff. Conveniently located, within easy walking distance of everything you want to see in Kilkenny.

Great for free parking and in the heart of Kilkenny central area. Stayed one night in the original building in a very small room with no windows (only a small skylight). Functional room but uncomfortable bed. Walls are paper thin, can clearly hear people in the next room. Overpriced for a very small room. Would not stay again.

Nice room. Only negatives were there are no elevators, so you have to lift your heavy luggage up the steps and there are a lot of steps! Also, the coffee was not the best. But nice area, good and easy parking, clean, and very central!

An authentic and well maintained older hotel entrance, lobby, restaurant and ballroom areas. Our room was located in an added newer building providing all the modern conveniences with one exception; there is no lift. If you are willing to carry luggage up a flight or two, then this is a great place to stay. All the medieval attractions, restaurants and shops were all within walking distance. We would stay here again if we ever get back to Kilkenny.

The most charming stay of our trip

We absolutely loved our stay here. It's off the beaten path, gloriously quiet, and it oozes charm. And the owners were incredibly kind, even celebrating the birthday of a returned customer with a cake. The roads to get there aren't for the faint of heart. They are scary narrow and as an American already driving on the other side of the road... well that part isn't great. The village of Ballyvaugan is tiny with few food options, so some advance planning is necessary. But the options that do exist are great (including Mr Kebab).
