The room was clean and comfortable. It was very convenient to walk to many restaurants and sights we were interested in visiting. We did not dine at the restaurant so we are unsure of the food and beverage quality.

We book King deluxe so very happy with size of room. No A/C which seems to be the norm ! Was able to open balcony awnd window fr a nice cross breeze. Some of the staff were not suitable for the job (too young and inexperienced) the rest were very experienced / odd combo.

Disappointing stay

Great location and nice staff but hotel is very tired. Room has not been hovered, there were cobwebs hanging from all the light shades and the bathroom has discolored grouting and hair on the floor. Also found the seats in the dining room to be covered in food so was very unimpressed with the general cleanliness. I would say that for the cost of the room for the two nights, it represents very poor value for money.

This property does not feel like a four-star hotel. It needs a complete renovation. There is no mini fridge in the rooms. The fixtures are old and need a deep cleaning. The gym is nice, but because it is next to the pool, all of the equipment is rusted. The staff was extremely helpful and nice, but the hotel needs a refresh.

The bathroom dispensers had lots of built up soap on them and hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Breakfast was chaos between the noise of the children running around and the staff crashing the trays at the buffet changing them over. The room was very hot so we had the windows open only to be woken around 2am when a large group of 18yo left. Bar staff were adequate but not overly friendly. Everything was no better than average which is not a 4* expectation

Location and Pool!

We're very happy with this hotel for our family trip to Kilkenny. We didn't rent a car and were traveling by train/bus and this hotel is perfectly placed in the city to walk to all main attractions. The pool was great with our young kids. The oldest (5Y) really liked the little led they added to our room. I recommend!
