Over our 5 years on VRBO, our condo has welcomed many extremely happy guests. We promise to provide the best service to our guests as this is our vacation home too! (and our only rental property). Luana Kai D205 is a second floor, 1 bed/1 bath condo that boasts unobstructed panoramic ocean views. Our redecorated unit features new flooring throughout, fresh paint and new linens. It has a fully renovated, well-equipped kitchen featuring a walk-around island, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops.

The unit has A/C, in-unit washer and dryer, 2 flat-screen TVs (one a smart TV), HD cable TV, complimentary high speed wireless internet, free local and long-distance calls to the U.S. and Canada, and free unassigned parking in the on-site parking lot.

The bedroom features a king-size bed with a new mattress, a Tempur-Pedic topper and refreshed bedding along with a wall-mounted TV.

The updated bathroom has a large well-lit sink/vanity area with granite top and newly re-tiled shower with a rain showerhead fixture and a convenient toiletry niche.

For your convenience, we also provide pool/beach towels, beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards, pickleball & tennis rackets and balls (our inventory may vary at times).

For those who may need to get some work done while in paradise, or perhaps wishing to extend their trip, the unit has a functional remote work setup with two desks (one with a monitor), a wireless printer/scanner and high-speed internet.

About Luana Kai Resort:

Luana Kai is a beautiful resort with lovely grounds full of tropical plants. Best of all it is direct oceanfront, no busy roads to cross to reach the beach, no obstructions.

Enjoy fantastic Maui sunsets, excellent whale watching (December through April) and beach walks just 100 yards from the condo. The beach is perfect for snorkeling, paddle boarding, windsurfing, kayaking, kiteboarding, sunbathing, or looking for shells or turtles.

In addition to the 1.5 milelong beach in front of Luana Kai, several well-known beaches including Keawakapu, Kamaole II, Kamaole III, Charley Young, and Sugar Beach are all within a few minutes’ drive.

It is centrally located in Kihei with shops and restaurants nearby to explore, many within walking distance, and easy access to the airport (approximately a 15-20 minute drive).

Luana Kai has a gated oceanfront heated pool with hot tub, saunas, and a complete outdoor kitchen with gas BBQ grills, dining tables and plenty of chaise lounges for reading, sunbathing or relaxing with a tropical drink. Other amenities include tennis and pickleball courts, shuffleboard and a putting green. The entire complex is a non-smoking property and we ask that our guests are non-smokers.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned condo, featuring a kitchen with a refrigerator and an oven. There's a private balcony. A Smart television with cable programming provides entertainment, while complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected. Conveniences include a desk and a microwave.

We had a wonderful stay in Kihei. The property was well maintained and the condo was well appointed. Views from the lenai were fantastic with whale sightings and sunsets. Property was conveniently located near restaurants and shops.

Perfect Spot

We loved our stay. The second floor unit offered just the right amount of privacy with a view. The unit is well maintained and clean. The western view is great for morning coffee and sunsets. The pictures and descriptions are totally accurate. Nothing is very far on Maui and this Kehei location is perfect. Wish we had stayed longer.

Lovely stay in Kihei

We had a great stay. Jennifer was extremely responsive, and the check-in process was seamless. We used all the provided equipment including boogie boards, cooler, tennis and pickleball gear! The sunsets were as lovely as advertised. The location isn't very walkable, but you can walk on back roads to an Akamai coffee shop and a plaza with some good restaurants. We were a short drive from great snorkeling at all the Kihei and Wailea beaches, and it was convenient for the airport.

Jen is a great host who responses quickly with helpful answers. This condo is fully equipped, much more than most. Great kitchen supplies and set up. Abundance of activity gear for beach and sport activities. Beautiful sunsets and peaceful mornings on the lanai. So enjoyed our time!!

Fantastic views and location!

We very much enjoyed our time in Luana Kai. The location is fantastic. Once we figured out the side roads, shopping and dining is very walkable. The beach is easily accessible and wasn’t very busy.The condo is well appointed, having everything a family might need to have a great time in Kihei.If you enjoy pickleball there is a game going on from 8am until sunset every day, even Christmas Day! The park outside of the condo is 1/2 mile around if you want to get some steps in.We loved our time at Luana Kai and will definitely stay here again if it is available for our next trip.

Perfect Place to stay in Maui

This place is in a great location to stay on Maui. Kihei is not as touristy as Lahina and is central enough to get everywhere in 30 minutes. The room is perfectly furnished with everything you will need for your stay, plus the beach items. Jennifer was great to communicate with and responsive. She provided all the needed information ahead of time for getting into the place and all the access, parking, pool etc information. I would stay here again if/when I come back and will recommend her place to friends.

Beautiful views

Our stay was amazing. I would highly recommend this condo. Beautiful beach right in front of condo. If you want to play tennis or pickleball, public courses are right in front of complex. If not, you may not enjoy the noise. We loved playing and watching. This unit was so well stocked with everything you would need. I felt like home how well the kitchen, bath and laundry were stocked.

Fabulous

We had a amazing time at Luana Kai! We have stayed in many vrbo's and this has THE best stocked condo we have ever stayed in. They have thought of everything including beach gear and plenty of towels. The location is great. The pickleballers aren't allowed to start until after 8am and they are fun to watch. The sunsets and whale watching are fantastic while sitting on the lanai. Communication was great and it is easy to come and go with a code (no keys to lug around!). We will be back!

Amazing property in Kehei

This is our second time staying in this unit owned by Jen. We came back for the amazing location, accommodations and sunsets! This condo is located near the main parts of Kehei but private enough for a quiet, peaceful, relaxing stay. Owners have all for comforts of home, beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels, pickleball equipment and more. Kitchen has everything you need and is updated and very pleasant to use. Parking is close and easy too. We had to re-book trip last minute and Jen was very accommodating and understanding of our medical emergency that forced us to change our dates. She made it easy, we even added 3 additional nights!! We will definitely be coming back again!!

We stayed 4 nights at this rental. The view from this rental was great! The unit was clean and we appreciated that there were rugs on the floor! The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed and more. There were plenty of towels and beach items. The pickleball court was not an issue for us. We arrived after the office closed on a Friday afternoon so we couldn't get the parking pass that was needed. We called the owner who advised us on what to do and they handled the situation very well. We enjoyed being able to walk the beach from this rental. We had easy access to restaurants in the area. We would stay here again.

Ahhh Maui!

Coffee on the lanai in the morning, watching the sun rise onto the green Maui Mountains= heaven. In the evening the sunset from the lanai is a different painting each night. And watching the whales from the lanai is so much fun. The owners of this condo really care about providing a comfortable place to take advantage of the island. The location is central which makes it easy to go sightseeing in any direction. The condo is stocked with absolutely everything you need. No need to bring towels, beach chairs, etc. The kitchen is very well stocked and the check in is easy (no keys to deal with). We have stayed here two years in a row and hope to come back again. Thanks for another nice stay Jen and Jason!

Home away from home in Paradise

This truly felt like a condo we would own ourselves. So many rentals are so cheaply furnished and have very sparse supplies but not this one! It had almost everything we could ever want or need. The furniture was comfortable (including the king bed) and the kitchen was well stocked with ingredients and nice dishes and pans.The unit has a beautiful view and is centrally located for visiting many places on the island. There are lots of restaurant choices nearby as well. We found the unit to be quiet as well. You are well away from the road so can't hear the traffic from the unit either.If you like pickleball, you will enjoy the easy access to walk out the door and join in a group for free play. They are there every morning and early evenings. The pool was a nice temperature and was a fine pool, but didn't have a lot of shade options. The beach right in front of the unit has a nice long stretch for walking on but you might want water shoes as there are some rocks on the beach.The easy access for getting in and and out of the condo with a keypad made it so convenient.A truly wonderful condo!

Awesome Oceanfront Condo

This was not our first stay at Luana Kai but it was our first time staying in unit D205 and it will not be our last! The pictures of the view from the lanai do not do it justice, you have a full 180 degree view of the ocean and straight on view of the sunset. The unit has everything that we needed and a few bonus items like 2 desks w/ an extra monitor (perfect for a working vacation), plenty of fans, chairs for the beach, coolers, tennis racquets, etc. The KING bed was quite comfortable, decently firm but too much, my wife and I slept great every night. The grounds are very well maintained and generally very quiet. This unit is next to the community pool and bbq's. A quick 2 min walk across the grass field and you are sitting on the beach! Even saw several sea turtles sleeping on the beach at night. Parking is plentiful and very close to the unit. We love the proximity to Kihei/Wailea while still being so quick to the highway you can be costco or the airport in under 20min. Communication with Jen was great, she would be the gold medalist in response time. Seriously, of all the vacation rentals we've ever stayed in this was one of the best. We CANNOT wait to be back! -Mahalo

Lovely home in a convenient area and great views

A fantastic place to stay for a couple, and I will recommend this location to anyone. The whole home was clean, with all updated furnishings. The bed was very comfortable and I never woke up feeling groggy or achy. All linens smelled clean and felt crisp. Both kitchen and bathroom had plenty of supplies that made it feel like a home away from home. Cooking in the kitchen was a dream and had all the basics (and more) that I never felt like I needed to resource a solution. The updated tech allows you to connect any streaming service to the TV. Patio was gorgeous and the view is incredible. If you are an avid pickleball player, this would be a hot spot for competitive and fun play (did not play myself). The amenities of the grounds were super nice as well - pool and hot tub were clean and spacious enough that it never felt crowded or anyone was on top of one another. Plenty of outdoor grills if you wanted to cookout, and even an outdoor kitchen and bathrooms if you just wanted to have a pool day and never go inside. Neighborhood felt safe and conveniently located north of shops for food and supplies. Walked to Kihei on our first day, which wasn't long, although may feel a little weird walking along road (no sidewalks). But traffic on S Kihei Rd drove slow enough that it didn't feel unsafe walking to or from town. This will be our dedicated homestay anytime we plan future trips to Maui!
