The room #14 was in need of a good deep cleaning and maintenance. For the amount of money {+$250 a nite) paid you should expect much more. Plus a resort fee on top? Ridiculous. Though I must say the gentlemen at the front desk were very nice and accommodating. There are many choices in Key West spend your money elsewhere.

We were surprised to see the facility charge a credit card fee in addition to their “resort” fee. For the prices they charged, we would have expected more. The room was shoddy; the room safe didn’t work; the room air conditioner was inconsistent and noisy. Plus, in trying to repeatedly contact the hotel, all we ever got was an answering machine. The overall experience was less than average. We would not stay again.

The staff was wonderful! The room was clean and functional. The location was excellent. This building is a couple blocks from the Dry Tortuga ferry terminal which worked well for us. That said, this is an older building with character. If you're looking for a spotless new consruction, look elsewhere. For most people I know, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Heron House was adorable. Very nice room; great shower. We are so glad we stayed there. Note: there are two Heron Houses - this one is the Court; the other one is a bit larger.

Bathroom had mold on floor and Shower walls .The sink had a big crack in the bowl and faucet had white and green fungus all over it .the window AC unit didn’t fit in the sleeve . The first room they tried to put me in was worse. The Breakfast was horrible no juices most places put out coffee for guests that are up early, not here. The ice machine was a safety issue,sitting on a thin table in the hallway.

Please hire more staff. The same person that runs this place is the one that runs the other Heron House. Nobody was there to check me in when I arrived at around 3:50pm (check started at 3:00pm). I would not come back or recommend this place
