A lovely hotel in an ideal location for visiting the Lake District. Within walking distance of several walks and Derwent Water jetty from where you can catch the ferry to points around the lake and to Keswick. Sofia and the staff made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was good, with plenty of selection. The restaurant also had good food.

We had a fantastic room. Worth the extra for superior double. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Lovely bar and dinner menu with lots of seating inside and out. Great views of the lake. Lots of parking for guests and good walking path straight out of the hotel.

This was an ideal hotel experience in the Lake District. The rooms were clean and maintained well without losing their charm. The grounds were well-maintained and the paths to the surrounding areas were amazing to help us explore. 10/10 would come back again!

A lovely hotel in spectacular surrounds. Sophie at front of house welcomed us warmly and gave us all the info we needed, she's a treasure. The room was gorgeous, spacious, clean with a lovely view to boot! Very appreciative of the luxury of it all after walking Derwentwater! We enjoyed thoroughly our dinner at the restaurant, and breakfast was a real treat! Highly recommend - a wonderful place to unwind and relax!

I only stayed for one night and therefore didn't have time to explore the surroundings fully. However, the room was clean, spacious and comfortable, the breakfast had everyyhing and more you could expect . The location is excellent and I would certainly consider using it as a base for any furture planned visits in and around the Keswick area.

Location is fantastic on the lakeside with beautiful views, Food was also lovely however the hotel rooms are small and stuffy and in need of modernisation. Not enough staff when the hotel is busy.
