We really enjoyed our stay at the Hermingston. It was ideally placed for our walks & the bus stopped just outside which was great. We visited 2 local pubs for meals that were recommend to us which were in walking distance & both were really good. Would definitely stay at the Hermingston again

The Hermiston Guest House is a big step-up in the genre of B&B accommodations. Proprietors Phil & Helen go to great lengths to insure that every guest is comfortable and has everything they need. We will definitely stay here again whenever we are in the Lake District. Exceptional!

The breakfast came hot, well cooked and plentiful. The view over Skiddaw was beautiful. The B&B was in an excellent location, with easy access to all the Lakes and cumbrian coast. Easy access to and from the main routes.

When we stayed at Hermiston, we were made to feel very welcome. The room was immaculate and there was also a very comfortable and cosy lounge for guests to sit in as well as a garden if desired. Breakfast was cooked to order and quality and presentation was excellent.

We had a great experience staying at Hermiston Guest House. Phil and Helen are excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. The bed in the room “Whinlatter” is huge and comfy, and the bathroom was clean and modern. Breakfast was cooked to order and tasty. Couldn’t ask for more.
