The popular Kyll cycle path attracts both cyclists and hikers. In any case, the whole area is a true hiker's paradise. The geological trail is an absolute must, including the hike to the Dreimühlen waterfall. In summer, you can relax by the water at Lake Kronenburg. Discover the biotopes in the Bolsdorfer Tälchen recreation area. Another tip is the barefoot path in Hillesheim, which promises fun for young and old. Stroll through Hillesheim, Gerolstein and Prüm and discover the pretty town of Bad Münstereifel to the north of Birgel.

Kleinod an der Kyll

Nicht nur die wunderbare Lage am Höhlenberg auch die sehr wohnliche Ausstattung mit moderner Küche und Bad sowie einladender und gemütlicher Couch extrem einladend bei einem Kaminfeuer zu relaxen. Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern klappt wunderbar und ist sehr zuvorkommend gewesen.

Das Häuschen ist mit viel Liebe eingerichtet und es ist fast alles vorhanden (außer ein TV, was uns aber nicht störte). Top-Sauberkeit. Im Garten gibt es viel an Deko zu entdecken, fast ein bißchen verwunschen. Um sich in aller Ruhe zu erholen, ist dieser ruhig gelegene Ort ideal. Wer mit Hund anreist: die Umzäunung besteht rundum aus 2 quer übereinander befestigten Holzbrettern mit Lücke dazwischen. Größere Hunde (wie unserer) hopsen einfach drüber, kleinere können zwischen den Brettern durch und ganz kleine untendrunter durch. Terrasse ist gut möbliert mit Markise. Treppe ist wirklich sehr steil. Bücher und Spiele sind auch vorhanden. „Nur“ Kühlschrank, keine Gefriermöglichkeit. WLAN funktioniert einwandfrei.
