Gorgeous location and perfect for families with kids (the parks right across the street) We had the pinecone suite, The room and decor reminded me and my husband so much of our childhoods, and it felt so special being there with our daughter. This place is a hidden gem. Great for families or a private retreat. Everything you need is a stroll away. You're nestled right between the river with a park on one side and another park, shops and restaurants on the other side. I will definitely visit again.

What a charming place! Staff were very helpful when we had a little trouble with the self check-in, and my requested rollaway bed was in the room and ready to go. The Kern River scenery is beautiful; the lodge is right across from the river. Perfect for our family of four -- we all got a good night's sleep and woke up ready to explore.
