It was very exciting to visit Haworth of Bronte fame, and I cannot imagine a more perfect place to stay than this cottage. It is well-appointed and convenient, a walk from the village short enough to be handy but far enough to give a peaceful country feeling. (The view from the front window is a field with sheep, that from the back the valley stretching down below.) Everything in the house is clean and modern. I loved it and was very happy in my four days here, taking walks on the moors, riding the vintage steam train, visiting the parsonage museum.
Although a car is recommended, I can say you do not need a car. We took the train to Keighley and the bus from Keighley and walked everywhere except for our taxi to the airport. It was great.
I get it now, why Emily was so sad when she had to leave home. I am now homesick for the moors too,
