Imagine a tiny, handcrafted tree house on an elevated deck overlooking a pristine pond in the middle of a peaceful 31 acre forest. Two adults can sleep comfortably in the queen bed and two small kids in the loft with operable, screened windows, stained glass hummingbird windows and operable port hole window in the loft.
There is electricity, lights and a fan but no ac or heat. Hang out, cook, eat and fish from the deck equipped with tables, chairs, lights and a thatch covered umbrella. No food, smoking or pets allowed in the tree house. Visitors must bring sleeping bags, blankets and pillows.
There is an adorable rustic outhouse, handcrafted from reclaimed materials. It has a ventilated, composting toilet, sink and faucet, lights, soap, towels and a hummingbird window touch of class. Visitors have nearby access to water, electricity, a cold water outdoor shower (no privacy), a sink, faucet and counter.
Enjoy swimming, fishing and paddling kayaks and paddleboards in the two ponds stocked with cat, bass, crappy and bluegills. Catch a glimpse of wildlife while hiking the jungle trail or tour the drive through Texas Zoofari Park next door with 1200 exotic animals. Relax around the campfire, lounging in the hammocks or swinging in the egg chair and tire swing.
A family friendly place, radios without headphones are not allowed. There is a quite time between 10:00 - 8am.
Split oak firewood is available for $1 per stick, payable in CASH at the end of your stay. No burning of firewood from outside this property. Fires allowed in established firepits only.
Campers must pack out ALL of their garbage or pay me $10 CASH per bag to haul it to the dump (bags must be deposited in trash cans next to parking area). No burning of garbage. There is a green donations box on the table behind the green building for firewood and trash hauling CASH payments.
One hour east of Dallas, twenty minutes to stores, restaurants, Bucees and 30 minutes to Canton First Monday.
