DONT BE FOOLED!! My family and i chose to celebrate the Christmas season here for something special - we were SO disappointed. First and most disappointing is that the resort is under SIGNIFICANT construction and they dont tell you that on their web site or booking yet still charge a high price for the stay not discounted for the inconvenience. Ha! Inconvenience- the beautiful lobby and walk thru you see on the web site that actually sold me on the property is all plywood walled off very tacky. The "office" is in a small side meeting room with metal desks. You have to go there for all your needs even to get towels. Because there is no lobby you have to walk down a dingy hallway to an elevator, up the elevator to another floor, walk down a hallway to another elevator, then down the elevator to the original floor then down hallways to get to your room. Imagine doing that each time you came and went and when you tote your luggage. Why did we tote our luggage? Because when we arrived the bellman that took our luggage to our room made sure we knew how much of a pain it was for him to DO HIS JOB and take our luggage. Speaking of arrival - when i booked, i booked through expedia BECAUSE the resort told us to do that and then they would match expedia prices. They didnt do that. So i had booked 2 king rooms on expedia and when i called before the trip the resort they offered to me that they would give me a king and a queen room since we had 6 people to accomidate. They didnt.

Long story first room ok but not the “deluxe” room we paid for (in renovated) so we changed rooms second room way better But: major renovations taking place so there was no lobby due to this we had to go up 1 floor cross over to then go down one floor in another building to get to our room still managed to charge the $37 a day resort fee however tv didn’t work for half the stay the did comp is parking (least they could do).not a bad place. It won’t be back. On a positive note the staff were very friendly and mostly helpful

Clean room and staff was very friendly. NO laundry on site as advertised. On site restaurant was ok, just make reservations! They were completely EMPTY on several days and would tell you they had no room due to reservations, and not a single seat was occupied. Made no sense and they lost customers who were there and ready to eat. Pool was VERY cold but the kids had fun on the slide.

Our stay at Outrigger was quite pleasant. The room was cleaned nicely, and all the staff was friendly. We loved the beach area, the drive way into the hotel is really beautiful, and the overall upkeep of the outdoor area is really great, looks amazing! We were a bit surprised with rather confusing entrance door, looks more like a staff entrance than a hotel door. The hotel rooms are a bit outdated but cleaned well. It was convenient to have a breakfast and dinner options right at the property, a beautifully setup restaurant with live music at night. Satisfied overall.

Amenities - many under repair, including lobby, restaurants, hot tub, etc. Ongoing construction right through holiday. Parts of hotel closed off. Poor service level, no servers for pool area. Apathetic front office staff. 3rd rate hotel charging better resort level prices.

The lobby is under construction and the path to get to the pool is a route through multiple buildings and floors. The air conditioning is either on or off even though you can select a temperature- it just gets colder in the room even when we turned it higher. Housekeeping never cleaned our room during our two night stay. When I called the front desk for clean towels I was accused of having the do not disturb sign on my door. Breakfast at the restaurant was mediocre and served me an omelet with cheese even though I am dairy free and ordered it without cheese. I would not stay here again.

The room was renovated and clean, however, the tub was peeling. The property was under renovation so it was confusing to navigate the property initially. The front desk person gave us the long route to our room at check in which was disappointing. The gym needs improvement as the equipment is rusty. There is only one microwave for the entire hotel. It was a hassle to go to a different building to use a small microwave. Overall, we had a decent stay and the staff is friendly. I will likely stay elsewhere next time.
