"This was my second time using this place and the same disappoint came again- the horrible boat cruise experience. The first time some years ago we were stuck in middle of a river, had to plead with a passing boat to jump in, I had an infant and my mother and wife. No apology whatsoever came. This time around . Another of their terrible boat cruise offering jammed with us and struggled to move untill it was literally dark and the only one left, What bothers me is that nobody apologised for all this trauma. "The staff are wonderful, attentive, charming and incredibly helpful. The game drive's were fantastic with the guide brilliantly knowledgeable, patient and excellent at finding animals to view - we saw a pride of lions relaxing after a hunt, giraffes, zebu, antelope, hippos, baboons, naughty monkeys and hundreds and hundreds of elephants. The best part of Chobe Mopani Forest Lodge apart from the staff is the watering hole. We had breakfast and dinner overlooking the watering hole watching families of elephants visit, drink, play and depart as well as many bull elephants exerting their dominance. Absolutely magical. "
