Arriving at the Vrbo, we noticed an odor and that the shelf under the TV was broken and hanging off the wall. The doors upstairs do not stay closed and the door handle to the single bed, bedroom door kept falling off. There was a beer can sitting in the corner of the room, which made us question the quality of cleaning in the apartment. After washing the dishes we used, we searched through the apartment and ending up finding a wash machine downstairs full of rotten towels. Everything was black and and covered in brown film and mold. The odor was horrid! We then realized that was the odor we had been smelling since our arrival. At this point we contacted the host to voice our concerns. She said someone would be over to take care of it. Nobody came. Later, we were sitting in the living room and the chair collapsed. First the back legs broke then when tipping up the chair to see what happened, the front legs snapped. They were all attached to particle board, not sturdy to hold a human. Again we contacted the host with no response. We are currently contacting VRBO to report this experience and get a refund. The apartment is clearly not getting cleaned when there is a leftover beer can in the bedroom and linens that had been in the wash machine so long they rotted. This made us question the cleanliness of our bedding and towels plus the integrity of the host, clearly she does not check the apartment between renters. Very disappointed. The good was hot water was always available.

We booked here to have a “home base” in Kansas City while we went out to celebrate one of our birthdays. It was perfect. The check in process was seemless and the property was very clean upon our arrival.

Great Location

The place is clean and cozy but we were disappointed to find out it was an apartment. Although our apartment was nice some of the neighboring ones were a bit unkept and the folks staying next to us were very noisy until the early A.M. hours. There we no hand towels or dish towels which seemed odd especially since the owner requires you wash all your dishes before you check out. It was still a nice stay and the location was great.
