We were in Kansas City for a 3 day volleyball tournament. My daughter woke up sat morning with 4 insect bites on her hand and arm. We dismissed them as mosquitos and played all day. The swelling soon began and by Saturday night, her hitting hand was very swollen, along with 3 other places. She was unable to play sunday morning. We had to go to urgent care, were prescribed a steroid. This tournament was a national qualifying event, and my daughter is the Captain and lead hitter. Her not being able to play saturday meant 3 lost matches and a wasted weekend. The hotel did move us to a different room sunday night, but the damage was done. The front desk staff were accommodating, but did not seem to take the bites seriously. Between having to find an urgent care open early on a sunday, and her team wasting a weekend, I was too emotional to complain at the time. I have pictures, receipts, told staff about the issue and at the very least I want this stay refunded. I have 3 more trips planned on Hotels.com. If I don't get some relief for this trip, I will most likely cancel and start using another travel vendor. Please let me know what is going to be done. Thank you.
