After checking in, I left. I never even why to my room. I was so uncomfortable with the surroundings There were people wandering around the inside of the hotel, who were not guests there as well as people hanging outside in their cars and on the property. It was not a safe area. I would love to get a refund for the night or a credit to use for a future stay at Fairfield in a different location. I would also like a refund of $20 for parking because I didn't park for the night.

Property was clean and well kept. Staff were professional and extremely helpful. Housekeeping kept the room clean and well appointed. But. The room remodel was lacking. The toilet was not properly seated and would wiggle when we sat down. It would also continually run if not seated properly. And there were no hooks or towel bars in the bathroom. That room (236) definitely needed a once over.

My family and I stayed here following a Chiefs game. It is a small hotel and is currently under construction. The place was very clean. The lobby was nice and decorated really cute for the holidays. They have a small but mighty selection of food and drinks. It was probably the best hotel shower I’ve ever had. The bed was extremely comfortable. Our room had the most fantastic view straight to downtown Kansas City and it really looked beautiful this time of year. The staff was friendly and helpful and it was in a pretty convenient location. If you don’t mind that eye sore of some construction here and there, this checks all the boxes for a decent little hotel.

We had 2 reservations because we came in a day early. The room was not cleaned at all after the first day except the trash was taken out. They left the dirty towels, didn’t leave any clean ones, and did not make the bed. I asked for another trash can to be put in the room but that never happened. When I asked for towels, the front desk man ran up the stairs with them as soon as he could. I was amazed. I asked for a quiet room away from elevators and ice machines. We were on the front of the building right by the road and the stairs were across the hall from our room, which people used a lot in the evening. There was a vibration hum coming from the ceiling in the bathroom that must have been on the roof. We had to keep the door closed to be able to sleep and could still hear it. It was the smallest room I have ever had in a hotel. The bathroom was spacious and the shower had a wonderful water pressure in it. This hotel is under renovation so it should be better soon.

The breakfast was phenomenal the most variety of any hotel breakfast i have ever had. Nice clean rooms that need updated but they are in the process of doing that. Good bed and pillows too
