The host was rude and unprofessional. The door code instructions were inaccurate, making entry very difficult, and it was unclear as to whether we could reenter once we left the apartment. When reported to the owner by phone, he laughed and proceeded to call my son “a dick” four times before granting access to the key–which should have been his first response. The key lockbox–although accessible–was broken. As temps dropped during our week’s stay, the lock seemed to freeze up and only the key would work. The door code lock never was operational again, even after the temperature warmed up. This same door has visible gaps in the door jamb resulting in a very cold living room.The kitchen is not well-equipped with enough cutlery and dishes. The stove’s glass top was stained with burn marks. The kitchen cabinets all stick and are difficult to open, and one is somewhat broken. The back of one of the four chairs at the dinette table was broken. The tub faucet control has no clear indicators of the Hot or Cold water. It just turns and turns, making it hit or miss to find the hot water. The toilet runs and squeals upon flushing. There are no grab bars in the shower/tub.The washer and dryer do not work well. The dryer, in particular, doesn’t get hot enough to dry clothes in a timely fashion or at all. The guest bedroom carpet is stained. The curtain rod holding the sheers is somewhat broken and droops, and there are vertical tears in the curtain fabric. MORE ON NEXT REVIEW...
