What a wonderful property. The staff were very warm and friendly. The breakfast was excellent...all prepared on site. The property was beautiful inside and out. I would recommend staying in Kastraki where this property is located. The village is very relaxed and the views of the spires are much better than those in larger Kalabaka. The monastaries are breathtaking. Just be prepared to navigate a lot of steps. I would definitely stay at Doupiani House Hotel again!

Beautiful Location, Horrible Rooms.

The room was terrible. Beds are old and worn out. Sheets are rough as sand paper. AC barely works, (took all night to cool the room down by 1 degree). Electrical outlets are hanging from the walls ( looked hazardous to me) lights are so dim I could barely see anything (had to use our cell phone light to see while showering). Shower was awful, (too small to fit a normal size person into it). Drain on the floor just popped up and off. TV was the size of my laptop computer. (What a joke). Everything about the room was dark, old and outdated. Bottom line is the room was terrible . I can’t recommend these rooms to anyone….not even for 1 day.

Lenny and the rest of the staff were absolutely exceptional. The breakfast brunch was a beautiful variety of Greek and local food. The view from the hotel was exquisite the amenities around the hotel were wonderful and the atmosphere was top-notch. I would totally stay here again if I was in the Meteora area.

Heaven on Earth

What can i say? Stayed there 4 years ago and loved it so much that i decided to return. First time was when Greece just opened after Covid. What a difference, no restrictions, it was more wonderful than before. My family said they would come back in a heartbeat. I live this place.

We had a brief but memorable stay at Doupiani House. After the long drive from Athens, we loved the serenity of the hotel grounds and the gorgeous view of the Meteora cliffs from our balcony. The staff are kind and helpful and gave us great tips for catching the sunset (the best one of our Greece trip) and for a nice traditional meal afterwards in Kastraki. At breakfast the following morning, everything was fresh and tasty. Visiting the monasteries was easy as they are a very short drive away and the staff helped us plan our itinerary. Overall, we loved Doupiani!

A great stay in Meteora! A perfect location with beautiful outdoor seating areas to enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day. We appreciated the suggestion on a hiking trail (great directions) which was very accessible from the hotel. Loved the local restaurant just down the road (with red awning poles, downhill and on the opposite side of the road). Fabulous service, atmosphere and food! We ate there twice.
