Kakanui is popular for dog walking, whitebait fishing, surfing, and whale spotting! Easy 12 min drive to Oamaru town, or 20 mins to Moeraki boulders.

Liked: Cleanliness
The hosts were welcome and the amenities in fine condition. This is a terrific house on a great site - thoughtfully designed, very new, and also well planted. We had a fine stay! And could not recommend it too highly. The beaches north and south along the gently rolling downs of North Otago are very beautiful.
