Overall, my accommodations were spacious. I was a solo traveler and had two bedrooms as well as a full kitchen, living room, 2.5 baths, and a laundry area.
The resort is towards the south end of Ali'i Drive. In general, you would probably need a car if you plan to stay here since it is a bit of a hike to get out to Ali'i drive and then over to the shopping center in Keauhou.
With a car, you are five minutes to the shopping center for groceries; six minutes to the beach and 12 minutes to the Kona Village tourist area. In that I had a rental car, I found everything to be easily accessible.
I believe this resort also doubles as a timeshare facility. Thus, I sense that, if I were traveling with my wife, I would have been cajoled to sit through a sales presentation. Thankfully this was not the case and I had more time to spend on my vacation!
