We had to cancel our booking due to the bad weather not allowing us to take part in The Whale Watch. And now we can't get a refund??? This is not a good look and we will not be recommending Expedia to our family and friends. We paid Expedia for the one night stay at Kaikoura Top 10 so why can't Expedia, a huge International Company refund us?? We had added an insurance payment to cover us in such situations as bad weather cancellation. What is the problem??

The site and staff are excellent. My only reason for not giving a 5 star on the area is that my room/cabin was very close to the main road I being a very light sleeper my nights were disturbed. If you don’t have a problem with noise at night then I don’t think you would have a problem. I would stay again but probably try to stay further away from the boundary.
