We kindly ask our guests to return all items to their original place after use. Occasionally, items may be misplaced by accident, so availability can vary. If you need anything specific, there are also convenient beach gear rental shops located just across the street

Private Access & Resort Amenities
Guests will receive arrival information a few days prior to arrival and a private access code before check-in (by 4 PM HST).

Parking Information:
Royal Kahana Resort charges a parking fee of $18 per night plus tax, payable at the front desk from 8 AM–8 PM. For late arrivals, register at the night-watch desk and pay the next morning. This fee is collected by the resort and NOT included in your booking.
Door Lock System
Royal Kahana is a very safe and secure resort. For your convenience and security, the main entry door automatically locks when closed.
To avoid being locked out, we strongly recommend keeping one key card in the lockbox at all times. Please do not adjust the lock mechanism or manually lock/unlock the door from the inside, as doing so may cause a lockout. Guests are responsible for any locksmith or lockout service fees incurred during their stay.
Oceanfront Corner Unit
Jazz is a desirable corner/end unit that offers extra privacy, abundant natural light, refreshing trade winds, and a spacious open feel. As with many oceanfront properties in Maui, guests may occasionally hear wind-related outdoor noise during periods of particularly strong trade winds. Most guests find the natural breeze and tropical atmosphere to be part of the authentic Maui experience.
Master Bathroom Layout
The master bathroom features an open vanity area and a curtain-style separation rather than a traditional bathroom door. Please review the listing photos carefully to ensure the layout is a good fit for your group
Beach Conditions
Royal Kahana is located on a beautiful oceanfront shoreline. Due to ongoing coastal erosion along parts of West Maui, protective sandbags have been installed in front of portions of the resort to help preserve the shoreline.
Beach conditions and direct beach access can vary depending on tides, surf, and seasonal ocean conditions. During periods of lower water levels and calmer conditions, guests may enjoy direct beach access directly in front of the resort. At other times, access may be more limited.
Fortunately, several excellent sandy beaches are located just a short walk or drive away, including S-Turns Beach, Napili Bay, Kapalua Bay, and Kaʻanapali Beach. We highly recommend exploring these beautiful beaches during your stay, as many guests consider them among the best beach experiences on Maui.
Tropical Environment
Hawaii's tropical climate is part of what makes Maui so beautiful. As with any tropical island environment, guests may occasionally encounter geckos, insects, or other small tropical critters, especially near the ocean.
While these visitors are typically harmless, we recommend keeping food sealed and doors and screens closed when not in use to help minimize indoor encounters. Our unit is professionally cleaned and regularly serviced, but nature is part of the island experience.
