TAX
The State of Hawaii mandates a total tax of 18.712% to be paid on all transient accommodations. Taxes are identified on the reservation confirmation. (Subject to change);

Taxes are paid to the state of Hawaii and County of Maui based on the guest’s dates of stay. Any changes to the current tax rate will be charged or refunded to the guests depending on the increase or decrease.

The unit is just as pictured. The view from the lanai was beautiful with swaying palms and tons of birds flying around. Pools and beach were amazing and we loved the onsite convenience store. Quick walk to Dukes and food carts! Easy check in and excellent communication.

We had a great vacation using this property! The property owner was always very fast to respond. Having the resort amenities but the benefits of a condo with a kitchen and washer and dryer was so helpful for our family. They had everything we could need including beach chairs and a cooler and the location on the beach and near a grocery store was ideal!

This was our second time staying at Honua Kai. The first was booked through the resort. We really like having a kitchen and a bedroom. The resort is amazing because of the pools and beach. This unit was very comfortable.

This space has officially become our home away from home. We've stayed here now in this space for a 3rd time and intend to for as long as possible. My family and I have truly enjoyed Honua Kai. Maui Vacation

Had fun at Honua Kai. Have stayed on property several times in other units. Condo was convenient. Underground parking was full every night after dinner. Had to utilize the valet. Pools were great, but if you want an umbrella you need to get downstairs early. Dukes was good as usual for breakfast/lunch. Would stay again.

We’ll be back again!!!

We had the most amazing stay at Honua Kai with Fereshteh. She was very communicative throughout our entire stay! Especially when it came to extending our stay and how to get us setup with the resort. The space was amazing! The room had an beautiful views of the grounds right outside our window. It’s a beautiful way to wake up in the morning with 6 large windows from wall to wall in the living area. The pool was the best part for our son who’s 7 years old! Duke’s restaurant is right downstairs near the pool. We’ll be staying with her again on our next visit back to see mom. Thank you for everything, Fereshteh!

Resort Feel With Condo Amenities

We were so happy with our stay. The unit was clean and well appointed. Our daughter loved the pools. We loved the food at Duke's. If it was available, we would have gone with a two bedroom so we didn't have to fold up the pull-out to enjoy the living room. It was tough to find a space in the underground parking but the valet was super handy so we did that instead.

Our family of four had a good stay at the property for a few days after our trip got extended. The only problem was when we checked out I got a notice that they smelled smoke in the room and accuse me and my family of smoking cigarettes. They said they were going to charge me! Luckily, I was still on site, so I went up to meet the cleaning lady. They agreed that nothing smelled like smoke, but they were going to charge me if I wouldn’t have been there. I don’t like the idea of people charging for frivolous things that you cannot combat after you leave the property. Be careful of hidden charges! Also, the professionalism of the rental company was brutal. I hate cigarettes and to accuse me of smoking was ridiculous. They made me feel bad for questioning the charge.

Nice condo-good area

Nice condo- view is of parking lot and mountains. Location is fine- beach, pools, walking trail, And store. Dukes is on-sight which is nice The bed and pull out sofa were comfortable. Bathroom is big and nice. Nice shower and tub The dryer takes forever to dry. Never really dried a load or single items. Took hours. The stove top is weird- takes a while to boil water My mom felt like the rooms were all dark. Lighting is limited- There’s lights in all rooms just pretty soft The pools are nice, but if you don’t claim a chair by 7am you miss out You also have to use a wrist band to check in and out pool towels. You have to return to same machine or charged $25 per towel. Lots of dos and don’t instruction in condo Host is very responsive. And kind. She let us check in a little early. Overall nice place- if you’re traveling with small kids.

Close encounters

Took Grandson and his best friend from Ukraine for escape from reality. Boys spent every minute in the water, swam with other kids, snorkeled seeing turtles way too close just there on beach and learned to surf. Pools are fantastic! Condo was clean and perfect since we were inside very little time. Can’t wait to go back, will avoid food truck park though. It’s super close but not very good and we tried ALL the vendors.

Konua Kai one bedroom condo

Lovely first time vacation in Maui! Condo was accurately depicted, very clean, roomy, and well appointed. Laundry in unit was awesome. Beach toys and chairs were an added bonus. Overall enjoyed the property— beautiful, relaxed pools, patios, lobby, ample gym, and proximity to beach/boardwalk a plus many other Maui activities/ shopping nearby. Love waking or jogging the boardwalk all the way past black rock. Dukes is a nice addition to property that makes the resort feel very Hawaiian, but w/o the big, crowded resort feel. Chairs were usually available at the pool and the towel machine is well stocked and easy to use. The negative — property is mostly tidy but still, around pool there was often small bits of garbage, weeds, and dishes from poolside orders were a little stacked up by people. Parking under ground is fair, kinda packed some nights. I’ve machine was just for coolers. Given that mainland flights arrive early I wish check-in could have been earlier. Our unit was great & property manager very responsive but we did have to complain a neighbor was smoking and the odor permeated our space. The manager did seek source. Highly recommend a visit to Makena Beach for rock free waves. Bring back wonderful sushi/ ready to bbq meals from Safeway or Foodland or the Maui fish market. Food trucks in lot are so-so & kinda pricey. Dukes is a nice treat along with many places in Lahaina. Do take the road to Hana and purchase the Gypsy Guide app to continuously guide you while driving. For total geographical changes drive through the rain forests or journey up to the amazing volcano summit. The nearby Kapalua dual zip line course is amazing. Great week, great location, and resort for a family vacation.

Great condo for a family of 4!

The condo was very comfortable for our family of 4. Very clean and high end appliances though I wish the dryer wouldn't take over 2 hours to dry a load of clothes, but the washer and dryer worked just fine. Very much appreciated the Tide pods too. Loved that the condo came equipped with beach chairs, pool tools, and snorkel gear! Fereshteh was easy to get a hold of and very responsive. I would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone for their pool facilities, accessibility to the beach, the general store in the lobby that has everything including juices, blended drinks and boba as well as the comfort and hospitality of the place. Will definitely come back to this condo and resort!

Amazing stay in paradise

Had such a wonderful stay! The place is beautiful and very clean! It had everything we could ever need! We were very thankful for the play n play and we loved eating on the patio! The property is wonderful, we loved the pools that were very kid friendly. It all felt very safe as well, almost everyone wore masks inside and were spaced at the pool! Would absolutely come again!
