Room clean but dated. Was given “garden view” room on lowest floor. (Surprised as not to be upgraded as is mentioned by hotels.com as I’m a gold member.) Room view was of the roof of hotel entrance and parking lot. Got to watch garbage being loaded. Grounds were nice. Restaurant dinner was over repriced for what was served. The whole place is just beautiful. The bungalows are a great choice for having your own space. Nice and quiet, private outdoor patio is great.

First off, the valet team were GREAT, the entire 8 days we were there, friendly, fun to talk to, respectful. We booked an OCEAN VIEW room, not a PARTIAL OCEAN VIEW room for our honeymoon, a very special occasion, however, we were assigned a PARTIAL OCEAN VIEW which basically overlooked the gold course with a slight view of the ocean for our stay, and when I asked Expedia to look into it and contact the resort, the resort was not accommodating to us and provided no remedy momentarily or even to make us whole, so be careful what you book the room description is misleading. With that said, I found the environment to be very noisy due to the huge air filtration unit on the ground level, it ran 24/7 and made it impossible to keep out balcony door open and hear the ocean. The TV situation wasn’t great, not the TV as pictured in the room description, it’s not a smart TV, it’s an old small TV. The kicker was being woken up Saturday morning by security only to advise us that our in-room vape/smoke detector alerted them to calling or smoking in our room, and if it happened again then $500 would be charged to my card, however, we never smoked once in our room or on balcony, so to at was an unpleasant wake up call made with no further investigation, just simply “if it goes off again you’ll be charged $500”.
The TV situation
Our golf course view, not bad on any other day, is except this was our honeymoon.
The ventilation system that is noisy and runs 24/7 projecting sound upwards.

Had a room on the eighth floor with an ocean view. Was absolutely lovely. The hotel was clean quiet friendly staff. The beds are comfortable, just to write amount of softness. Fantastic location with a free shuttle up and down the beach. Everything you would want to do within walking, shuttle distance.

Bed bugs in our first room. We changed rooms and then our daughter & family checked in and they got a room infested with bedbugs. They changed rooms but by the end of the week they were getting bed bug bites. Also, everything was overpriced. Parking - $40 a night, brunch $40 per person and they would run out of food.

I would definitely recommend The only issue we had was housekeeping. Even after asking still never got soap or shampoo refilled. The floors were filthy and only decaf pods. All easy fixes
