The Space:
Tucked away on 10 private acres directly bordering Joshua Tree National Park lies Casa Contenta. Restored by the owners, Drew and Schafer, who fell in love with the High Desert years ago, Casa Contenta now welcomes guests for a once-in-a-lifetime desert experience, where the National Park is literally right outside of your door. With huge, vaulted tongue and groove wood ceilings, light and fresh interiors, and complete serenity surrounding the property, this is the desert escape you've been waiting for.

The 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom home features 2 king Casper beds in the bedrooms, with the primary bedroom having its own on-suite bathroom. The bathrooms feature bathtub-shower combinations in both bathrooms and hotel-quality toiletries from Public Goods.

The living room's huge vaulted wooden tongue and groove ceilings are complimented by a beautiful wood-burning fireplace, perfect for cozy movie nights or listening to a record on the record player.

The kitchen features stainless-steel appliances and comes fully stocked with a variety of spices, cookware, and utensils; everything you need to cook and grill.

The true highlight of this property lies just outside your back door. Exploring the National Park is just as easy as passing through the property's back gate. After a long day of hiking, there's no better way to unwind than a soak in the hot tub or cowboy tub soaking pool or enjoying a glass of wine by the fire pit.

Casa Contenta is part of Solace Retreat, a peaceful 10-acre property in Joshua Tree that it shares with a second home, Shadow House. Rest assured, both homes are thoughtfully positioned to offer complete privacy. Casa Contenta is fully fenced and located further down the driveway, ensuring each house feels secluded and independent. There are no shared spaces between the two houses, so you'll have your own exclusive retreat to enjoy the tranquility of the desert.

Dogs:
La Casa Contenta welcomes your dogs! Please note that there is an additional charge of $100 per dog per stay, maximum of two dogs. Please make sure you let us know how many dogs will be added, and we will adjust the fee accordingly. Please note that cats and other pets are not permitted.

Hot Tub & Cowboy Tub Service:
The hot tub and cowboy tub are serviced every Monday between 10am-12pm and Thursday between 1pm-3pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house, but will go directly through to the backyard.

Cowboy Tub Availability:
The cowboy tub is drained and unavailable for guest use during winter months (November - March) to prevent the filter from freezing and breaking.

Fireplace and Fire Pit:
Please note that we do not provide firewood for the fireplace or outdoor firepit. We recommend stopping at a local store to pick up bundles of firewood if you'd like to enjoy these amenities.

Guided Yoga, Sound Baths, Meditation, Massages & Personal Chefs:
Please reach out to us if you'd like recommendations for yoga instructors, guided sound baths, guided meditation, massages or personal chefs. Often times vendors are available come directly to the house.

Cleaning Fee:
100% of the cleaning fee goes directly to our hardworking cleaners.

Cowboy Tub and Hot Tub Service:
The cowboy tub pool and hot tub are serviced every Monday between 10am-12pm and Thursday between 1pm-3pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house, but will go directly through to the backyard.

Fireplace and Fire Pit:
We provide guests with a complimentary bundle of firewood and a starter log! If you'd like to have fires for multiple nights, we recommend picking up additional bundles of firewood.
