Desert Air Zen is a contemporary and peaceful retreat where you can relax and unwind. Within short walking distance to all the hot spots in Joshua Tree, farmers market, shops, galleries and restaurants including the famous Joshua Tree Saloon. You will be a ten minute drive to the Joshua Tree National Park entrance.

THE SPACE

Desert Air Zen is a modern, peaceful, restful space with all the comforts of home. This is one of two duplex units separated by two garages so there is plenty of privacy. Newly remodeled with all new appliances, polished concrete floors, modern concrete shower, comfy beds with all cotton sheets and plush carpet. You will be close enough to town to walk, yet it feels private and quiet. All diversity is welcome!

Kitchen was equipped with basic items, which was fine for us, as we did not do any cooking. Fresh ground coffee and coffee maker were great for getting the mornings started. There was a cooler and large ice pack, which were perfect for storing items while we hiked! Propane fire pit and furniture were comfortable in the cooler evenings. Enjoyed dinner at 2 places within walking distance- Saloon and Sky High Pie. We stayed Tuesday- Friday; there may have been other options open on the weekends. Yucca Valley has an Aldi and Walmart for groceries. There are also plenty of restaurants, bars and shops in Yucca Valley.

Great location for a Joshua Tree base camp. All was great. It is always nice to have coffee available so an extra trip to the grocery store would not be needed. All and all.... awesome place and hosts.

Five miles to the west entrance of Joshua Tree national park. Near to fast food places. Sunrise from the premises is beautiful. Basic pans and pots, cooking oil and some spices are there. Wish there were some aluminum foil or parchment paper or something would have helped.

Fully equipped kitchen. Nice little home. Only complaints are the shower is concrete wall and floor, but they only have a like maybe 14”x14” square little showermat to use to prevent slipping. Get a full size one please. Also upon arriving GPS wrongfully directed us to turn early (like 30ft before Desert Air Rd), onto a dirt trail going to the side of the house, it’s not paved, it’s fully off road, confused the living heck out of us and caused my fiancé to scrape a little bit of his front fender of his sedan trying to find where to go before we stopped and turned around. It took us like 6-7 mins of walking and driving around the block to figure out where the drive way actually is. So just a warning to people to go all the way up to dessert air rd and then turn left, don’t follow maps/gps as they are incorrect.

What an amazing and peaceful place to get away from the chaos of LA. Had everything we needed to cook a healthy meal and the space is very well laid out. Love the fire pit outside and the openness of the space, both inside and out. I will definitely return to this location next time I need to breakaway.

This property is very close to the West entrance to Joshua Tree. Walking distance to the town of Joshua Tree as well. Property was very clean, communication from the owner was excellent and we enjoyed our stay thoroughly.

Convenient location.

My husband and I stayed there overnight before hiking in Joshua Tree. It's very conveniently located! Only downsides are that (1) the AC unit is extremely loud (although worked well), (2) the bedroom ceiling fan was not fixed securely to the ceiling, and (3) check-in and check-out instructions for the key pad were incorrect. Please note that to check-in, you just enter the code and press the unlock botton (there is no lever to twist), and to checkout you just press the lock button (you don't enter the code and again there is no lever to twist).
