I chose this motel from other reviews stating "Very Good" and because of the low price. It was indeed, very good. Very simple, low cost and near west entrance of Joshua Tree National Monument. This motel met our expectations.

We needed a place to stay for a few hours and High Desert Motel was perfect for that. Front desk was friendly, room was large and clean, and AC worked very well. If you're looking for a decent stay on a budget that's right next to the entrance of Joshua Tree National Park, this is the place to book.

I stayed at High Desert Hotel for 3 straight years for work ('21-'24) and it was always great. I stayed again in summer 2026 and the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the property was quiet, the pool was refreshing, and I like the fact that the room has a microwave and a mini fridge so that i can have my breakfast in my room without any fuss. Thank you!
